Indian rescuers are battling to free 41 men trapped in a road tunnel for ten days. A portion of the under-construction roadway in the northern Himalayan state of Uttarakhand collapsed on November 12. The area is prone to landslides, and rescue plans have been complicated by falling debris and breakdowns of equipment. But rescuers did manage to make video contact with the men for the first time on Monday.
