Around 1.4 million Germans took to the streets in Berlin, Cologne, and Munich over the weekend, according to organizers of a wave of demonstrations against the far-right Alternative for Germany party.
The party has recently enjoyed a surge in popularity, tapping into anti-immigration sentiments.
But the direction in which they want to take the country, is alarming many Germans.
