Chile declares state of emergency as dozens killed in forest fires

Firefighters are struggling to contain wildfires that are spreading out of control in a highly populated part of Chile’s coastal Valparaiso Region.

President Gabriel Boric has declared a national state of emergency – so far, at least 51 people have been killed in the blazes.
