This is a legal blow for Donald Trump: A US federal appeals court has ruled that former president does not have immunity from charges that he plotted to overturn his 2020 election defeat.
Judges rejected Trump’s claim that he can not be prosecuted because the allegations relate to his presidential responsibilties. Any possible case had effectively been frozen while the court considered the arguments. Trump plans to reportedly appeal.
