State of emergency declared in Iceland after volcano erupts | DW News

A volcanic eruption has forced Iceland’s Blue Lagoon tourist attraction to close. Emergency crews are trying to stop lava from reaching a power plant in the south west and a nearby town. Its residents were moved to safety in November. Authorities have declared an emergency.
