US media are reporting that Washington has warned its European allies about Russian efforts to develop nuclear weapons based in space to target satellites. The Republican chair of the House Intelligence Committee Mike Turner has called it a serious national security threat and asked President Biden to declassify any related information. Moscow says the reports are a ruse by the White House to get congressional backing for Ukraine aid.
