The weight bias against women in the workforce is real — and it’s only getting worse. Across the developed world, the richer people are, the thinner they tend to be. That relationship, though, is almost entirely driven by women. Obese women tend to earn far less than their thinner peers. But obese men tend to earn about the same. To discuss the economics of thinness, we’re joined by Alice Fulwood, Wall Street reporter at The Economist, and psychologist Tessa Charlesworth of Northwestern University.
