EU leaders plan to use frozen Russian assets to help Ukraine | DW News

In Brussels, EU leaders have wrapped up a two-day summit announcing a proposal to impose tariffs on Russian grain. They also agreed to work out a plan to use interest from frozen Russian assets to help Kyiv buy more arms despite threats from Russia, which accused the West of stealing. The president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, expects this strategy to generate around €3 billion in 2024.
