Home Secretary writes to Met Police after antisemitism incident

Home Secretary James Cleverly has written to the Metropolitan Police and the Mayor of London after antisemitism campaigner Gideon Falter was threatened with arrest at a pro-Palestinian rally in the capital.

Mr Falter was told that he is ‘quite openly Jewish’ and was causing a ‘breach of peace’. The force have since said the incident was ‘hugely regrettable’ and apologised for its response.
