The Prime Minister faced a setback as the election campaign entered its first full week, after a Conservative MP who is standing down was suspended from the party after backing a Reform UK candidate.

Outgoing Telford MP Lucy Allan publicly gave her support to Reform’s Alan Adams rather than the Tory candidate Hannah Campbell.
