Ultra-nationalist Israelis scuffle with journalists and security forces at march in Jerusalem

In Jerusalem thousands of ultra-nationalist Israelis marched through the city’s Muslim quarter, some chanting racist slogans. The so-called Jerusalem Day flag march celebrates Israel’s capture of East Jerusalem in the 1967 war. It’s went ahead despite the ongoing war in Gaza. Crowds massed at the Damascus Gate, before continuing along the traditional route through a Palestinian area on the way to the Western Wall. Some marchers reportedly chanted “death to Arabs.” There were also scuffles with police.
