Work and Pensions Secretary Mel Stride discusses the Conservative’s claim that Labour would raise taxes by £2,000, the Treasury denying the Civil Service’s role in those tax claims and Reform UK gaining public support.

On Keir Starmer accusing Rishi Sunak of lying about Labour’s tax plans, Mr Stride said “I do not accept that we have in any way misrepresented the numbers”.
