Joe Biden hosts an event at the White House marking the 12th Anniversary of DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals).
The White House announced confirmed that the government will allow certain spouses of US citizens who do not have legal status to apply for permanent residency and eventually, citizenship, in the coming months.
Senior officials from the Biden administration believe the policy could affect upwards of half a million immigrants.
