People smuggler: ‘We see ourselves as rescuers’, organisers tells Sky News

Sky News’ Siobhan Robbins speaks to people smuggler “Taha” who claims to have made more than £800,000 last year from his role in a smuggling network operating across Europe.

More than 11,000 migrants are thought to have paid to board small boats bound for the UK in 2024 – often paying thousands to pack into rickety dinghies.

Taha claimed that “business was booming” shipping to migrants to the UK, and said the Rwanda scheme would make “no difference”.
