It was a night of triumph for Spanish football fans here in Berlin. Spain are once again European champions with a two-one win over England in the final of Euro 2024 at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium. Nico Williams put Spain ahead in the 47th minute. Cole Palmer equalized for England mid-way through the second half, setting up a nail-biting finish. But it was Spain who triumphed in the dying minutes of the game, as Mikel Oyarzabal made it two-one. Heartbreak for England, and victory for the Spanish at the end of the month-long tournament.
