The southern US state of Louisiana braces for the arrival of Hurricane Francine.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has announced that Francine has intensified into a category 2 hurricane, with landfall expected soon. Residents in affected areas are preparing for flooding by filling sandbags and stocking supplies, while authorities are mobilizing for potential evacuation, search, and rescue missions.
