A Libyan man has been arrested over an alleged plot to attack the Israeli embassy in Berlin with firearms. The suspect was detained in a Berlin suburb on Saturday and is suspected of having ties to the “Islamic State.” He is due to appear before a federal court later on Sunday.
In a post on the social media site X the Israeli embassy in Berlin thanked German authorities for ensuring their safety and said the incident is another example of embassies being “on the front line of the diplomatic battlefield.”
