Rival Shiite and Sunni Muslim tribes in north-western Pakistan have agreed to a seven-day cease-fire.
At least 82 people have been killed and more than 150 injured in intense fighting in the Kurram region since Thursday. The clashes broke out after two convoys carrying Shiite Muslims under police escort were ambushed. Later, a ceasefire was brokered by a delegation from the provincial government. The two sides also agreed to exchange prisoners.
