More than 100 dead after deadly earthquake hits Gansu in China

Chinese state media says at least 118 people have been killed after an earthquake struck a mountainous region of Gansu, northwestern China.

Some 5,000 homes are reported to have been damaged as rescuers worked in freezing temperatures overnight to find survivors.
