Voting is underway for presidential and legislative elections in Congo – but election officials are facing logistical and security problems.
Voters in the capital, Kinshasa, forced one polling station open, after voting was delayed. Ballot papers and voting lists have been reported missing ahead of election day. Conflict in the country’s east has overshadowed the election, with millions of people displaced.
And there are concerns that the electoral process won’t be transparent.
