Afghanistan earthquake survivors face challenges in rebuilding their lives

It has been five months since a series of earthquakes struck western Afghanistan, resulting in nearly 1,500 deaths and over 2,000 injuries. Mud-built homes collapsed, burying occupants alive. Reconstruction efforts to build sturdier replacements are progressing slowly, making life difficult for many survivors.

Al Jazeera’s Osama Bin Javaid reports from Herat province, near the border between Afghanistan and Iran.
