Australia’s Great Barrier Reef hit by mass coral bleaching

An unprecedented mass coral bleaching event has been recorded on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.
Scientists say coral is vital to marine ecosystems as it supports biodiversity and provides a habitat for more than a quarter of marine life.
