Channel crossings: Migrants allowed to leave for the UK from Northern France

Sky News has witnessed migrants leaving the French coast in inflatable boats unchallenged by authorities as they head towards the UK’s shores.

Calm seas mean a record number of crossing attempts continue to be made.

The French authorities insist they are taking steps to stop boats crossing the Channel.
