D-Day: Veteran describes searching for dead friends after being used as ‘cannon fodder’

Veterans are heading to France to join commemorations marking the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

At 98, Ken Cooke is the last surviving member from York Normandy Veterans group.

He spoke to Sky’s Tom Parmenter before making the trip and described feeling like “cannon fodder” on the beaches of Normandy.
