D-Day veterans on their memories of the invasion

It was on this day, 80 years ago, that more than 150,000 allied troops landed by air and sea on the beaches of Normandy in northern France.

It was the biggest seaborne invasion in military history, one that would eventually see Europe liberated from Nazi occupation, ending World War II.

Royalty and world leaders are gathering with veterans in Normandy to mark the anniversary of the D-Day landings.
