‘Eradicating child poverty’ top of agenda for Scotland’s new first minister

John Swinney MSP, the next first minister of Scotland, says that “people have to come with me” as he moves “his party and his country forward.”

Mr Swinney said he wanted to make “as early progress as I possibly can do” on eradicating child poverty in Scotland, and using the power of government to make that happen.
