France election: Second round battle looms between left alliance and far right

In France, the race is now on between Marine Le Pen’s far right party and the far left coalition led by Jean-Luc Melenchon to win enough seats in the second round to try to form a government.
President Emmanuel Macron now faces the prospect of sharing power with his political opponents for three years.
