Germany has deported criminals back to Afghanistan for the first time since the radical Islamic Taliban took power three years ago. According to Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser, 28 criminals were on board the plane on Friday morning.
Faeser had announced on Thursday that Germany would carry out deportations to Syria and Afghanistan “very soon”. A “large repatriation and deportation package” had already been “set in motion” before the deadly attack in Solingen.
