‘Get properly on the lash’ Lords pass law to extend pub opening times during Euros

Pubs will be able to stay open two hours later than normal if England or Scotland make it to the semi-final or final of the Euros this summer.⁠

Lord Sharpe said it gave him “particular pleasure” to pass a law that “allows people to get properly on the lash” as he announced an order which will allow pubs to stay open later during the Euros.⁠
