Estimated read time 1 min read

Monday marks National Security Education Day in Hong Kong.
The government is stepping up efforts to educate everyone about the importance of sticking to the law.
It’s the first so-called awareness day since security legislation was tightened last month.
Critics say it further erodes freedoms which were guaranteed when Britain handed over the territory to China in 1997.

Al Jazeera’s Patrick Fok reports from Hong Kong.
