Reflecting on the impact of the re-election of left-wing firebrand George Galloway to parliament, Sky’s deputy political editor Sam Coates says the big question going forward will be the extent to which the Israel-Hamas war continues to shake the kaleidoscope of British politics.
He says the prime minister was “quite explicit” earlier that one of the reasons he made his address on the steps of Downing Street was because Mr Galloway won the Rochdale by-election.
Mr Galloway’s controversial campaign saw him focus heavily on the Israel-Hamas war.
