Israel Defence Forces (IDF) spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner has denied three Israeli hostages were killed during yesterday’s rescue operation.

It comes after the armed wing of Hamas claimed that the hostages were killed and one of the captives held American citizenship.

Four hostages were rescued during Israel’s operation.
