Tensions between two nuclear-armed countries, India and China, continue to escalate along their disputed Himalayan border.
Beijing is accusing Indian troops of firing warning shots during a confrontation.
China says Indian troops crossed the Line of Actual Control in the western border region on Monday and opened fire, so its soldiers took what it called “countermeasures”.
But a short time ago, India’s military blamed China, accusing it of what it called “provocative measures” to escalate tension.
Both sides have since deployed more troops to the border.

To discuss the latest updates, we speak with correspondents Katrina Yu in Beijing and Elizabeth Puranam in New Delhi.
