Indonesia is set to elect a new president on Wednesday. Three candidates are facing off, but with one clear favorite. Prabowo Subianto has the backing of current president Joko Widodo – and is leading the polls. Prabowo has been a staple of Indonesian politics for decades, and is a controversial figure. He has been accused of human rights abuses during Indonesia’s dictatorship. His rivals say they will offer the country a needed change.
