Israel has launched airstrikes in Lebanon it says are aimed at the al-Qard al-Hassan association, a group that Israel, the US and Saudi Arabia accuse of financing Hezbollah. Several strikes hit Beirut’s southern suburbs, an area largely controlled by Hezbollah. Another strike landed near Beirut’s airport, the main entry point for humanitarian aid, and a major evacuation hub for those fleeing the conflict. Lebanon’s state-run media also reported attacks in the south and east of the country.
