Israel trades fire with Lebanon’s Hezbollah on northern border

The Israeli army has carried out multiple air strikes on Lebanese frontline villages – in some of the fiercest bombardment yet.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah is stepping up attacks on Israeli military positions.
The UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon has warned that the escalation in hostilities along Israel’s northern border could widen.
