Israel’s Supreme Court strikes down judicial overhaul law

Israel’s Supreme Court has struck down a law passed by the Knesset that would have limited its oversight of government decisions.
The amendments, supported by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, triggered months of protests.
Critics warned the changes could encourage corruption and arbitrary appointments of important posts.
