King Charles: ‘Typical’ King will continue state-facing duties after cancer diagnosis

It is “typical” that the King is continuing with his private royal duties despite his cancer diagnosis, a government minister has told Sky News.

Mel Stride, the work and pensions secretary, said the news was “very concerning” but he hoped the cancer was a “passing phase”.

Buckingham Palace announced on Monday that the King was receiving treatment for cancer.
