King Charles’s Easter message calls for friendship

A pre-recorded audio from King Charles will be broadcast today, in his absence, at the Royal Maundy ceremony in Worcester Cathedral.

As his treatment for cancer continues, the Queen will carry out public duties on her husband’s behalf.

The King’s message will stress the importance of friendship, and will be his first public comment since the Princess of Wales revealed her diagnosis.
