The Security Council will convene to vote on a draft resolution on the Israel-Hamas war put forward by Algeria. The draft resolution calls for an immediate humanitarian cease-fire, while also demanding an “immediate and unconditional release of all hostages.” The US has signaled it may block the resolution, and has proposed an alternative draft.
