Minister refuses to acknowledge tax burden will rise under Tories

Sky’s Sophy Ridge speaks to secretary of state for culture, media and sport Lucy Frazer to discuss the Conservative Party’s manifesto.

Sophy Ridge points out people don’t feel the economy is doing better with the Conservatives and points to Ed Conway’s analysis that shows the tax burden is still rising.

Ms Frazer says the economy is “starting to turn a corner”, with falling inflation as an example, and that debt is “projected to fall”.
