NATO launches biggest excercises since Cold War amid Russian threat | DW News

NATO has started its biggest military excercises in decades in Europe. More than three months of naval, air and ground maneuvers are kicking off. Operation Steadfast Defender will take place across much of Europe. 90,000 personnel from all 31 NATO member countries as well as Sweden will take part. It’s the largest operation on the continent since the Cold War. The exercises are designed to test the readiness on the alliance’s eastern border.
