Nihon Hidankyo wins Nobel Peace Price 2024 for fight against nuclear weapons | DW News

The Norwegian Nobel Committee has awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to the Japanese anti-nuclear group Nihon Hidankyo. It represents the survivors of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 and has used their testimony to campaign for a nuclear-free world. The Nobel Committee said it was honouring the group for helping to build the global taboo against the use of nuclear weapons.
