Party battle lines drawn up as general election date set for July 4

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer are set to go head to head in the general election on July 4.

It comes after the PM announced in the pouring rain, outside 10 Downing Street, the country was going to the polls.

Campaigning will officially begin, next week on 31 May as politicians go up and down the UK.
