Ministers are holding “very close” talks with senior members of the judiciary over the Post Office Horizon scandal, work and pensions secretary Mel Stride has confirmed.
He said Justice Secretary Alex Chalk is discussing how to accelerate appeals of those wrongly accused with members of the justice system.
The minister said these “very close” talks, which are taking place at the moment, will “make sure that we get the right solution” in the wake of the scandal.
