Pro-Palestinian protesters ‘scapegoated’ by MPs fearing for their safety

A £31m package of measures has been announced to protect MPs as hate crimes rise and high profile incidents of politicians being harassed spread on social media.

Those hate crimes have increased sharply since the 7 October Hamas attacks on Israel.

But pro-Palestinian protesters say they are being unfairly singled out for holding legitimate protests about the deaths of Palestinians in Gaza.
