Putin thanks Xi for his efforts to resolve Ukraine conflict on state visit to China

Leaders of China and Russia have been meeting in Beijing – where China’s Xi Jinping said he hoped Europe will return to peace and stability soon.

His Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin said he was open to negotiations over the Ukraine conflict.
