Rafah airstrike which killed dozens of civilians was ‘tragic mistake’ – Benjamin Netanyahu

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that something went “tragically wrong” after airstrikes targeting two senior Hamas militants killed a reported 45 people, injuring dozens more.

The airstrikes took place near a United Nations warehouse outside the southern city of Rafah, and Israel’s top military prosecutor is investigating.

The strike has been condemned internationally, with French President Emmanuel Macron labelling it “outrageous”.
