Russia elections: What’s different this time? | DW News

Day two of voting in Russia’s three-day presidential election is underway. The vote is expected to formalize six more years of rule by President Vladimir Putin, who faces no real challengers. Few international observers have been permitted to oversee the election. Some voters don’t mind making a great effort to reach polling stations.

For more on this, we talk to our former Moscow bureau chief Juri Rescheto. Ever since Russian authorities shut down our office in Moscow, he has been reporting from Riga.
