Violence, torture, sexual abuse: In a prison hospital in Saratov, southern Russia, inmates were allegedly tortured and filmed. The videos, totaling more than 40 gigabytes of evidence, heavily incriminate prison officials.
The scandal is shaking Russia, but human rights activists say it’s only the tip of the iceberg, after raising serious accusations against the Russian penal system again and again.
